Poor Derek, those microplastics are messing with him.

At least he's putting them to good use I suppose!

Absolutely loved this! I’m a therapist and Derek would have been a pleasure to work with. 🐟☺️

Oh thanks, Kate! Perhaps Derek can chat with you sometime if his current therapist doesn't work out.

Keep me posted. I’m here for him! ☺️🐟

A terrible problem. I am portuguese, and in Portugal Cod is one of our favourite dishes

I hope I haven't ruined your favourite dish, Rolando. Derek's got some explaining to do.

I'm glad Farouk is a named Starfish, and not some anonymous victim. For some reason that mattered to me in the story. I wonder what Derek will do to repair things with their community. Nice one, Michael :)

Thanks, Van! Farouk is a little badass so I have faith that he will have a say in Derek making it right.

That was...interesting. And had me thinking that should we ever meet, I need to make sure I in no way remind of you of a starfish -- just in case you are missing an item of clothing.

I've done a lot of work in therapy myself, Michael, in regards to my own relationship to my possessions, so you mostly have nothing to worry about.

If you pull out the dirty words, you already have a children's story book.

Haha yeah quite possibly. I like the dirty words too much to do that unfortunately. Perhaps any kids can read it when they’re older?

Could Derek and the other underwater denizens be part of an ongoing series? Hm?

Love it, Michael. Thanks for providing a playful start to my day.

Thanks very much, Rose! I really appreciate it. Haven't considered a series but certainly not ruling it out. Farouk is a spicy guy who might have a story in him. Sonya too.
